This is a webinar event

PART 1 ONLY FOR APPROVED CENTRAL PA FAMILIES AND STAFF This is a Crisis Prevention Intervention training using the Safe and Positive Approaches™ curriculum. Due to COVID-19 and meeting safety guidelines, this training is modified for two parts virtually. Safe and Positive Approaches is a training program that aims in the preventing and diffusing of crisis situations. The program offers key information to evaluating a situation, using verbal de-escalation skills, and the analysis of staff or parent behaviors in the home or community setting that directly impacts the individual or child in crisis. This program focuses on prevention strategies to avoid a crisis verses intervention strategies while the crisis is occurring. However, part of the program will focus on safe and effective interventions used in emergency crisis situations when someone is being physically threatened or harmed and verbal intervention alone is not effective. Disclaimer: The completion of both Part 1 and 2 is required to receive full credit. Part 2 focuses on the physical maneuvers and techniques. When registering, please complete all fields accurately for all individuals attending. An invitation will be sent by email prior to the training.

Infant Adoption Info Meeting
This is a webinar event
|
Adoption has changed. Now, it is better understood that adoption is a lifelong journey and this journey benefits by having have some level of openness or ongoing contact between the adoptive and birth families. We understand that the adoption process is emotional for both the birth parents and the prospective adoptive parents, so we work to help both parties build a healthy relationship centered on the child’s best interest. If you are interested in learning more about growing your families through Domestic Infant Adoption and feel that you can embrace the flexibility, honesty and trust of the process, we welcome you to attend one of the upcoming orientation information meetings which are being held virtually. You will receive information on how to join the meeting prior to the orientation information meeting. This is a virtual meeting.
