When violence forces a family to flee their home to a neighboring country, their world is turned upside down.
The 1% of refugees who receive a United Nations referral to another country go through an exhaustive security check by eight departments of the U.S. federal government.
Once in the U.S., a new chapter of their journey begins.
Bethany works with the family to help them find housing, medical care, employment, food support, and more. We connect the family with local volunteers who help furnish their home, show them around their new community, and make them feel welcome.
