Event Details

Safe Families for Children serves children whose families are experiencing a short-term crisis that interferes with the parents’ capacity to adequately care for their children, thereby placing them at risk of neglect, abuse, or inadequate care.  Families utilize SFFC due to temporary hospitalization, job loss, housing instability, illness, or stress. The families that utilize SFFC typically do not have an adequate support system to depend on or to seek help from in a time of crisis. Safe Families helps families get back on their feet by providing a safe place for their children in the home of a volunteer host family, and by providing case management support to help parents reach their goals and connect to community resources.
