FOR CENTRAL PA FOSTER CARE/KINSHIP FAMILIES AND STAFF - these trainings are not open to the public This is a Crisis Prevention Intervention training using the Safe and Positive Approaches™ curriculum. Safe and Positive Approaches is a training program that aims in the preventing and diffusing of crisis situations. This program focuses on intervention strategies including physical maneuvers, holds and manual restraints. We will be going through the Safety Techniques and Personal Emergency Interventions. Part 1 focuses on de-escalation techniques to prevent crises. Part 2 will be practicing techniques on your partner. IMPORTANT: You must complete Part 1 and Part 2 to receive full credit. Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes.
