VP Regional Operations - Southwest Michigan
Brad Keller, VP of regional operations in Michigan, has supervised teams at Bethany for more than 26 years. Brad enjoys helping teams build on their individual strengths, negotiating outcomes so everyone knows their role and what is expected of them, moving things in a positive direction, and using humor and joy to fulfill Bethany’s mission of serving vulnerable children and families. He earned his master’s degree in social work and has worked in child welfare, foster care, and adoption since 1995.
Branch Director of Child Welfare Services - Grand Rapids
Emily joined Bethany Christian Services in 2009. She is currently the branch director of child welfare services. Previously, she worked with unaccompanied children in Bethany’s refugee foster care programs. Emily received her bachelor’s degree in social work and Spanish from Calvin College and her Master’s degree in social work from Western Michigan University. She is also a foster and adoptive parent. Emily is passionate about serving the children and families in the community by providing meaningful and quality services that will set them up for a successful future.
Associate Director of Refugee and Immigrant Services - Grand Rapids
Beth returned to Bethany in 2019 as the Associate Director of Refugee and Immigrant Services in Grand Rapids. Previously Beth served as the program supervisor in Bethany’s Transitional Programs working with Unaccompanied Children for nearly five years. Beth received her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia in 2012. Beth is responsible for directing quality services throughout the extensive program continuum that Bethany operates with refugees and immigrants in Grand Rapids. She is passionate about creating a climate of welcome for newcomers in West Michigan that connects our community with those arriving and illuminates the dignity present in all of us.
Domestic Infant Adoption Specialist, LMSW - Grand Rapids
Elisa Webb joined Bethany Christian Services six years ago. She earned her Master’s degree in social work from the University of Michigan and has experience in both the adoption specialist and pregnancy counselor roles. She has a special passion for equipping adoptive families for success.
Clinical Program Director - Grand Rapids
Eric joined Bethany Christian Services in 2012. He currently serves as the Clinical Program Director for the Grand Rapids branch. Previously, he held positions providing clinical supervision for both residential services and outpatient therapy and also led the development of Bethany’s trans-disciplinary trauma assessment team. Eric earned a Bachelor’s degree in Family Ministry from Moody Bible Institute and a Master’s degree in Counseling from Cornerstone University. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a certification in Trauma-Focused CBT.
Branch Director of Youth and Community Services - Grand Rapids
Justin joined Bethany in 2007. He is currently the Branch Director of Youth and Community Services. Justin received a Bachelors of Social Work and Family Studies from Western Michigan University. A Masters of Social Work in Management of Human Services from University of Michigan. A Master’s of Ministry Leadership from Grand Rapids Theological Seminary, and Doctorate of Transformational Leadership in Entrepreneurship and Organizational Transformation from Bakke Graduate University. Justin is married to Karianne and is the father of 3. He is passionate about new models and frameworks that change cities in an equitable way. He loves to travel and enjoy new places.
Branch Director of Residential Services - Grand Rapids
Lukas joined Bethany Christian Services in 2006. He is currently the branch director of residential services after serving in leadership positions within Bethany’s Refugee and Immigrant, Staff Development, and Residential Treatment departments. Lukas earned his Master’s degree in social work from Grand Valley State University. He is a clinical and macro licensed Master’s Social Worker. Lukas is passionate about utilizing trauma-responsive approaches to care, treatment, and organizational leadership by harnessing the strength of community and collaborative innovation
Branch Director of Refugee and Immigrant Services - Grand Rapids
Susan joined Bethany Christian Services in Spring 2020 as Branch Director of Refugee and Immigrant Services in Grand Rapids, MI. She has worked in refugee services in the Grand Rapids area for over ten years, including time as an AmeriCorps VISTA in Bethany’s Adult and Family Refugee program. Most recently, she served as Executive Director of the Refugee Education Center. Susan has a Master’s degree in Public Administration and Non-Profit Management from Grand Valley State University.
Pregnancy Counselor, LBSW - Grand Rapids
Jenny Klein has been working at Bethany Christian Services for over 20 years. She is dedicated and compassionate to those experiencing an unplanned pregnancy and serves her clients well. She is gifted in ministering to marginalized populations and has a special passion for meeting the needs of expectant parents.
