Meet The Team

Sandra Hiatt

Sandra Hiatt

California State Executive Director - Modesto

Believing that it is God’s desire to use Christians to protect and serve children, Sandi has a passion to honor God by helping children in whatever capacity He calls her to. She started her career with Bethany Christian Services in 1997 as a pregnancy counselor and has had the opportunity to work with families adopting through the domestic infant program, the foster care system, and internationally. She is motivated by God’s grace and loves having the honor of being a witness as God’s perfect plans for a child, who the world may see as “difficult to place,” join their forever family. Sandi and her husband Doug have four children (one that joined their family through adoption) and the most adorable granddaughter ever.

Later, she spent 10 years working in foster care, specifically with children who were significantly impacted by trauma. Program Supervisor/Licensor, Unaccompanied Refugee Minors Long-Term Foster Care (LTFC) - Modesto

After learning about Bethany right out of graduate school, Sangeeta was convinced it would be her ideal place to work—a setting that would blend her practical social work skills with her passion to serve children and families in a Christ-centered ministry. She began her 30-year career with Bethany in Domestic Infant Adoption as a pregnancy counselor. She currently supervises the newly developing Unaccompanied Refugee Minors Long-Term Foster Care program. “God is growing me in new ways, and it’s exciting and humbling to be a part of this urgent and critical work, serving the most vulnerable children fleeing to the U.S. without family.” As a daughter of immigrants, Sangeeta has a deep compassion for those seeking a safe and welcoming life in the U.S. She’s confident God will bring the right foster families for these youth. Sangeeta and her husband live in Riverbank, CA, are blessed with two beautiful daughters, a fantastic “son-in-love,” and two much-loved fur kids.
