In Memoriam: Glenn DeMots

Grand Rapids, Michigan– It is with deep sadness that Bethany Christian Services announces the passing of Glenn DeMots, executive director and CEO of Bethany Christian Services from 1990-2005.

Glenn started his career at Bethany as a social worker in 1969 During his 36-year tenure, Glenn built on Bethany’s long history of serving vulnerable children and families by strengthening programming dedicated to bringing families together and keeping families together.

“Glenn was a compassionate leader who embodied Bethany’s mission,” said Chris Palusky, current Bethany President & CEO. “We are grateful that his talent and direction allowed the organization to expand and grow to be a resource for more families and children.”

Motivated by his faith, Glenn was dedicated to helping others to experience the love and compassion of Jesus. His legacy and dedication allowed Bethany Christian Services to flourish into the organization it is today, reaching hundreds of thousands of people each year across more than 30 states and several countries around the world.

Glenn will be missed by all who knew and loved him. We pray that God blesses his life and his family as we continue to live in his legacy by serving God and serving others.
