Adoption and Pregnancy Counseling Supervisor - Western Pennsylvania
Lisa Bills joined Bethany Christian Services in 2007. She was inspired to pursue a career in adoption after witnessing her in-laws adopt a baby girl in 2004. Through this experience, she felt God’s call on her life to work with women, children, and families through foster care and adoption. Lisa completed her dual bachelor’s degree in social work and Bible/theology from Reformed Bible College (now Kuyper College). In 2012, she received her master’s degree in social work from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania.
Clinical Supervisor, MSW, LSW - Western Pennsylvania
Christina Edwards joined Bethany Christian Services in 2013, but has worked in social services since 2004. Her professional background includes foster care, adoption, in-home services, and behavioral health. Christina graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with her master’s degree in social work. She is a licensed social worker in the state of Pennsylvania.
Administrative Assistant - Western Pennsylvania
Denise Pungratz joined Bethany Christian Services in 2017 as an administrative assistant. Previously, she served in administration for a Christian organization that provided life-affirming program services. She feels it is a blessing to support the staff as they facilitate the union of children and families.
Social Worker - Western Pennsylvania
Juliana Ingham joined Bethany Christian Services in 2017 as part of the foster care and post-adoption programs. She is currently working to complete her master’s degree in social work from the University of Pittsburgh. Juliana enjoys working with and supporting children and families going through the foster care process. She also loves helping to facilitate support groups for children and families in the post-adoption program.
Post Adoption Social Worker, BSW - Western Pennsylvania
Linda Prevost has been a social worker in the post-adoption program since 2012. She enjoys working with families in their homes and is passionate about facilitating monthly teen and tween support groups. She feels blessed to be able to combine her faith in God with her professional career.
SWAN Social Worker, BS - Western Pennsylvania
Michelle Matthews has been working in the foster/adoption field for more than 10 years and with Bethany since 2008. She enjoys working with children and families to help them through the foster care process. Michelle is a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
Permanency Social Worker - Western Pennsylvania
Rachelle Regner joined Bethany Christian Services in 2011 after earning her master’s degree in social work from the University of Pittsburg. She has been working in child welfare and adoption for 8 years. Rachelle is passionate about the power of relationships and family in the healing process for hurt children and loves working for an organization that brings the vital ingredient of faith into that healing process.
Post-Adoption Social Worker - Western Pennsylvania
Vannessa Vassar-Bush works in post-adoption services at Bethany Christian Services, and has worked in social services for over 25 years. She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees, as well as a DHCE. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, two beagles, and horse.
Parent Advocate - Western Pennsylvania
Alisha has worked with children and families in the human services field for five years. In 2013, she earned a master’s degree in human services with a concentration on marriage and family from Liberty University. She enjoys working with expectant parents who may be facing an unplanned pregnancy—providing them with support and encouragement in their time of need. Alisha believes that every child deserves a loving and stable home where they can thrive to become who God has called them to be. She feels honored and privileged to be able to connect her love for God with her professional career.
International Social Worker, MS - Western Pennsylvania
Kristen Slomka joined Bethany Christian Services in 2013 as an international social worker and Safe Families for Children caseworker. She has worked for over ten years in international adoption and has extensive experience in community mental health services. Kristen and her husband have a biological son, a son adopted from Russia, and a son adopted through foster care.
