Executive Branch Director - Western Pennsylvania

Bob joined Bethany Christian Services in 2018. Bob has worked in children’s, youth, family, and marriage ministry; educational and church administration; and donor development since 1991. He received a B.S. in Psychology and Business from the University of Pittsburgh in 1991 and an M.S.Ed. from Duquesne University in 1995. In his free time, Bob, enjoys spending quality family time with his wife and three college aged and teenage children.

Assistant Branch Director - Western Pennsylvania

Lisa joined Bethany Christian Services in 2007. Lisa completed her dual bachelor’s degree in social work and Bible/Theology from Reformed Bible College (now Kuyper College). In 2012, she received her master’s degree in social work from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. Lisa and her husband serve as foster parents and are adoptive parents to their son who joined their family in 2019. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, going for walks, binging Netflix, and spending time with her family. She is passionate about caring for children and families who have been impacted by adoption or foster care.

Foster Care Case Manager and Pregnancy Counselor - Western Pennsylvania

Alexsis joined the Bethany team in 2021 as a Pregnancy Counselor and Foster Care Case Manager. Alexsis completed her master’s degree in Social Work at Case Western Reserve University in 2018. Alexsis has a long history of supporting children and families through the child welfare process. Alexsis’ passion is to help create safe, loving homes for children and families.

Foster Care Case Manager - Western Pennsylvania

Amanda joined Bethany Christian Services in May 2019. She has always had a passion for vulnerable children and families. She has participated in several mission trips; her favorite trip being to Haiti. Amanda completed her bachelor's degree in Psychology from Ohio Northern University in 2018. In addition, Amanda completed her master's degree in Social Work from Edinboro University in 2020. Amanda lives with her husband, Jason, and their two cats, Chester and Gracie.

Andrea Reiterman

Andrea Reiterman

Post Permanency Specialist - Western Pennsylvania

Andrea joined Bethany in November of 2020 as a Post Permanency Worker. She was inspired to work with adoptions due to my previous jobs working with children and families. Many of the children she was working with had been adopted, or legal guardianship given to family members, but few had the needed services to navigate the system to meet their needs. She has experience in providing therapy for children and families in various settings within the home and community settings for the past 25 years. Andrea has a Bachelor’s degree from Bloomsburg University, a Master’s of Social Work from Widener University and a License of Social Work in PA.

Post Permanency Specialist - Western Pennsylvania

Challie joined Bethany in 2021, after previously working with traumatized teenage females, and working as a director of a Daycare/preschool. She graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications. She enjoys spending time with her family, watching her kids Cheer and play Baseball. She has a passion for working with children and teenagers. Her experience with her parents fostering when she was growing up inspired her to work at Bethany. She looks forward to using her passion to make a difference in the lives of adopted children and their families.

Post Permanency Supervisor - Western Pennsylvania

Diane joined Bethany in May 2021 as the post permanency supervisor. She has spent 20 years working with children and families in foster care and adoption. It has been a passion of hers to see children in a permanent placement. She has worked in the public and private adoption arena. Diane earned her master’s degree in social work with an emphasis on child welfare from the University of Pittsburgh in 2001.

Refugee Data Collection Administrator - Western Pennsylvania

German joined Bethany Christian Services in 2021 as a Refugee Data Collection Administrator. He has 2 years degree in Accounting from Bryant Stratton Business College in Buffalo, New York. He has more than 5 years of experience in Spanish language interpretation and translation. He has experience in business, healthcare, and health research. German’s passion is to help serve and support children and families in our community.

Foster Care Case Manager - Western Pennsylvania

Juliana Means joined Bethany Christian Services in 2017. She has her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Washington & Jefferson College and her Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh. Juliana works in the foster care department as a case manager and oversees the SWAN Units of Service. She enjoys working with and supporting children and families going through the foster care process.

Kate joined Bethany Christian Services in February 2020 as an Administrative Assistant. She has a Bachelor’s Degree from Geneva College in Youth Ministry. She enjoys partnering with the staff to assist all of our programs and ensure families receive the best service possible!

Foster Care & Safe Families Recruiter - Western Pennsylvania

Lawrence joined Bethany Christian Services in 2019. He serves in the position of training Foster / Adoptive Parents, recruiting families. He changed his career path from carpenter to human services after being an adoptive and foster parent for the past sixteen years. Lawrence felt like he wanted to shift from repairing structures to repairing lives. After fostering and Pastoring his own Church, Lawrence began to see he had collected a wealth of information and experiences that would serve useful to individuals that had a calling to serve the less fortunate. Lawrence competed his degree in psychology at the University of Phoenix and completed his theology degree at Lancaster Bible College.

Foster Care Supervisor - Western Pennsylvania

Michelle Matthews has been working in the foster/adoption field for more than 10 years and with Bethany since 2008. She enjoys working with children and families to help them through the foster care process. Michelle is a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Safe Families Coach - Western Pennsylvania

Stephanie joined Bethany in 2020. She has a degree in Child Development and Family Studies. She believes family is one of God’s greatest blessings. She has been a foster parent for many years and grew her family through adoption. She volunteers in her community to serve children and families in crisis. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family which includes six children and three dogs.

Post Adoption Specialist - Western Pennsylvania

Trish joined the Bethany team in 2021. She is originally from upstate NY, where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology with a concentration in Criminal Justice from LeMoyne University. She later moved to Pittsburgh to pursue a career in helping abused children. This is where she met her husband and settled down in Mt. Lebanon where they raised their daughter and son. Trish most recently worked for a child abuse prevention non-profit agency in Washington County. She is excited to continue her passion of serving vulnerable children with Bethany knowing all the different levels of support we provide in the community while always putting God first.

Refugee Resettlement Case Manager - Western Pennsylvania

Adrianne joined the Bethany family in the winter of 2022. She grew up in Washington, DC and has a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from George Mason University. She has been an advocate and volunteer for our Afghan Allies both at home and abroad. In her free time she enjoys being a photographer, and her favorite subjects are her family, giant dogs and Cape Cod.

Casework Support Specialist - Western Pennsylvania

Alberto joined Bethany Christian services in March 2022 as a Casework Support Specialist. Alberto recently moved from Costa Rica to Pittsburgh, and has always had a passion for serving, traveling, and learning about different cultures. He has served in Mauritania, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Costa Rica– helping those who are often overlooked. In 2020 he completed his International Relations degree in Latina University. Alberto enjoys spending time in nature, with family and friends. He looks forward to serving the families and children at Bethany.

Bianca joined Bethany Christian Services in the fall 2021 as an Administrative Assistant. Born and raised in Pittsburgh, she earned her Associate Degree from Community College of Allegheny County. Bianca has many years of experience working in supportive office roles. Prior to coming to Bethany she worked for a local church coordinating and providing childcare for ministries, where she first had the opportunity to serve Foster and Adoptive families. Bianca loves being part of an organization that is doing God’s work! Her greatest blessings in life are her two daughters and wonderful husband.

Site Supervisor Refugee Resettlement - Western Pennsylvania

Caley joined Bethany in the fall of 2021 as our Site Supervisor for Refugee Resettlement. She received her BA in International Affairs with concentrations in Conflict Studies and Public Health from The George Washington University. She has spent the past 4 years working to support and advocate for refugee and immigrant families as they start their new lives in Pittsburgh. She is excited to continue this important work with Bethany. In her free time she enjoys baking and ceili dancing.

Job Developer & Community Engagement Specialist, Refugee Resettlement - Western Pennsylvania

She graduated with her BA in Spanish with a concentration in Interfaith Studies from Washington & Jefferson College in 2020. During her time at Washington & Jefferson College she spent a year studying abroad at Universidad San Francisco de Quito in Quito, Ecuador. She has spent the last two years as an educator, teaching in both English and Spanish language. In her free time, she enjoys volunteering and traveling internationally. She has served in the Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Peru, and Tanzania. In Tanzania, Africa, she worked with a nonprofit that promotes tangible hope to sex trafficking victims. Chynna is excited to work alongside her new colleagues at Bethany Christian Services.

Licensing Supervisor - UC Transitional Foster Care

Cory joined Bethany Christian Services in October of 2022. Cory completed his bachelor’s degree in Urban Ministries at the Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. In 2015, he received his master’s degree in Addictions Counseling from Liberty University. Cory and his wife are parents to two daughters as well as many foster children in Beaver County. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking with his dog and engaging in community development programs in the community of Aliquippa.

Clinical and Site Supervisor - UC Transitional Foster Care

Danielle graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 2010 with her Bachelor’s in psychology and graduated from Chatham University in 2012 with her Master’s in counseling psychology. She has worked for the past 10 years in drug and alcohol treatment. She enjoys travelling to new places and cooking.

Heather Joined Bethany in 2021, as our SWAN Prep Child Profile Social Worker. Heather previously worked at Children and Youth Services, and is passionate about ensuring the safety of children. She graduated with her bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Cal State San Marcos in 2011, and her master’s degree in human services from University of the Rockies in 2012. Through Heather’s employment at CYS Heather learned about Bethany Christian Services and wanted to be a part of organization that put God first, to help children. Heather enjoys spending time with her husband, 3 dogs, and 3 cats, and knitting, crocheting, and reading.

UC Therapist, Transitional Foster Care - Western Pennsylvania

Jannette joined the Bethany familiy in April of 2022. She is native of Puerto Rico and worked for 20 years with victims of crime. She moved to Pittsburgh in 2019 and worked with a non-profit organization that works with Latino immigrant population. She is passionate about helping others and it gives her great satisfaction to see families who are able to achieve their dreams of moving forward. She enjoy meditation which gives her a lot of emotional balance. She is excited and grateful to be able to work with immigrant children and families.

Office Manager - UC Transitional Foster Care - Western Pennsylvania

Lynda joined Bethany Christian in 2022. Lynda has always had a passion for working with children. As a mother of four, she has been involved in volunteer positions regarding her children and church. She has held positions teaching children in various programs outside of school. Lynda comes from a background of working in front office positions and assisting the owner of a knitting studio in managing the front office and instructing in the fiber arts for over 15 years.

Intake & Family Coach Coordinator, Safe Families - Western Pennsylvania

Marcella joined Bethany in October 2021 as the Safe Families Coordinator for Westmoreland County. A Westmoreland County native, she earned her degree from Seton Hill University before serving as a missionary in Thailand and Liberia. She has work experience in family preservation & reunification, as well as ministry experience with teen moms and community outreach. When not working, Marcella enjoys singing, biking and being with her husband, 4 children and rescue puppy. She is honored to be a part of Bethany and Safe Families for Children.

Maria joined Bethany Christian Services in 2021. Maria has worked in the Medical Field for the past 5 years. She received a B.S. degree in Child Development from the University of Georgia and has completed several years of Nursing School. Maria enjoys spending time with her family. Enjoys the outdoors, hiking, camping and SEC football. She is passionate about helping others and working with children

Lead Teacher Transitional Foster Care - Western Pennsylvania

Mark joined Bethany in October 2021 as a Lead Teacher for the TFC program. He has taught ESL for over 20 years in Turkey, Spain, Hungary, and the United States. He finds working with and providing children with skills to start a new life extremely gratifying. In his free time, he enjoys cycling and bird watching.

UC Transitional Foster Care - Western Pennsylvania

Megan joined Bethany Christian Services in 2022 as Foster Care Intake Coordinator for the TFC Program. Megan was a missionary in Costa Rica for 3 years where she worked as an English teacher and developed community outreach programs. Her love for traveling and mission work began at the age of 9 when she took her first mission trip to Russia and met who would be her future brother and sister through adoption. In college she studied abroad in Russia and Spain to improve her skills in these languages. She is so excited to be a part of the Bethany TFC Team and reunite children with their families.

Missy is the Donor Engagement Specialist at Bethany Christian Services. Prior to joining Bethany in the Spring of 2019, Missy gained experience in various positions doing marketing, management, fundraising, and event planning. She has a passion for developing relationships, building awareness, and giving people the opportunity to partner together to serve the Lord. This passion inspired her to complete her bachelor’s degree in Non-Profit Management and Marketing from Geneva College in 2016. Missy realizes the power and importance of family, and her lifelong mission is to share the care and compassion of Jesus Christ and glorify Him through the work that she does. In her free time, Missy enjoys spending time with her family, friends, hiking, kayaking, and being outside in nature.

Transitional Foster Care Teacher Aide - Western Pennsylvania

Natalia joined our Bethany family in the spring of 2022. She is from Colombia, and has experienced being an immigrant herself. She worked with children for several years and is passionate about their learning process and development. She enjoys caring for them, in at-home, school, hospitalization and community education environments. She has worked with families as a caregiver and a bilingual tutor for many years. In her free time she enjoys volunteering for the American Red Cross as a caseworker for the Disaster Action Team in Recovery Services, connecting families with their support networks and assisting them through the process.

Refugee Resettlement Case Manager - Western Pennsylvania

Pacifique joined the Bethany family in February of 2022. He was born in DRC/Kinshasa and due to endless wars his family fled to Rwanda at the age of 3. He was raised in the Refugee camp in Rwanda until 2018 and was later admitted to Pittsburgh through a Resettlement program. He's worked with different Non-Governmental organizations in the areas of Education, Child protection, and Gender Based Violence. He holds a BA in Healthcare management from Southern New Hampshire University. In his free time he enjoys playing soccer and volleyball with friends.

Matching Grant Case Manager - Western Pennsylvania

Yahya joined the Bethany in the winter of 2022. He received his BA from faculty of Law and political sciences of Kabul University from Afghanistan. He was born and raised in Afghanistan and moved to United State in 2019. He has worked as a licensed Attorney from Afghanistan Bar Association fore more than 12 years and worked as a Legal Team Leader for Norwegian Refugee Council for 4 years. He enjoys working and helping to serve the community, and is excited to be able to do that with Bethany.
