Event Details

The Resiliency in Action: Practical Skills for Everyday Life training will focus on the Community Resiliency Model (CRM), a skills-based, trauma-informed approach that helps individuals understand their bodies' natural responses to stress and adversity. This interactive training introduces practical wellness skills that participants can use to regain balance, manage stress, and enhance emotional well-being in both personal and professional settings. Through discussion, reflection, and hands-on practice, participants will learn to recognize signs of stress in the body, tap into their innate resilience, and apply simple techniques to stay grounded in challenging situations.

The training also explores how these skills can strengthen relationships, improve workplace well-being, and foster resilience within teams and communities. Participants will learn to:

  • Understand the impact of stress and trauma on the nervous system.
  • Recognize physical and emotional cues of stress and resilience.
  • Practice CRM wellness skills to restore balance and reduce overwhelm.
  • Build greater self-awareness, emotional regulation, and well-being.
  • Support resilience in themselves, their colleagues, and their communities.
This training event is meant to benefit our resource families, specifically our foster-care adoption families, as the funds to sponsor this training were provided through our FCA contract (program code: 350) with the state office.
