Giving my family a second chance: Matt and Nikki’s Homebuilders story
When pain management led Matt to self-medicate with stronger substances, he unwittingly put his children in harm’s way. And when neighbors called the police, Matt and Nikki realized how close they’d come to losing their children to foster care. They loved their kids but needed immediate help to keep their family together.
Over the next four weeks, a Bethany Homebuilders specialist provided intensive, in-home coaching. He began by simply listening to Matt and Nikki and helping them make a plan for what to do next. Homebuilders built up this family when crisis might otherwise have torn them apart.
