Caring for refugee and immigrant victims of torture
Rebuilding the wholeness you deserve
Torture and trauma almost always produce significant negative effects, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety disorders, depression, and substance abuse.
Our primary goal through our Center for Healing Torture and Trauma is to empower you to regain the physical, psychological, and social wholeness you deserve. You’ll receive culturally-sensitive services that are focused on your unique needs. Services include the following:
- Case management, including assistance finding housing, employment, and legal help
- Therapy to help you develop positive coping skills, regulate your emotions, manage stress, and adjust to a new culture
- Multilingual assistance, where interpretation is provided whenever needed
- Medical coordination
If you meet our eligibility criteria, you’ll receive these services completely free.

Helping victims of human trafficking
We also provide support to trafficking survivors and their families through our Trafficking Victims Assistance Program (TVAP). The program offers access to basic resources - at no cost - including food, clothing, housing, employment, and more.
