Elizabeth holds a master’s degree in laws-human rights. She has over 10 years’ experience in the legal and social services field providing services to internally displaced persons, stateless, refugee, and migrant populations. Elizabeth has a heart for helping displaced populations and a passion for working in the humanitarian field.

PRS Intake and Quality Assurance Coordinator - Houston

Born and raised in Guanajuato, Mexico, Mayra migrated to the U.S. the age of 15. She has seven years’ experience with youth and children and has a passion for working with unaccompanied minors that has expanded her knowledge of different cultures. She embraces different cultures and backgrounds and is honored to serve the communities she works with.

Frank Alaniz

Frank Alaniz

PRS/HS Case Manager - Houston

Frank serves as the PRS/HS case manager. Frank has been serving individuals, children, and families in the social work field and nonprofit sector since 2018. Frank has experience working with unaccompanied children, immigrant families, at-risk youth, and refugees. Frank is passionate about educating and empowering children and families on issues pertaining to children's needs and transitioning to a new placement. Frank’s training and experience has equipped him to service immigrant families and refugees in the areas of education, counseling, parenting, guidance, and identifying community services.

Lauren Sosa

Lauren Sosa

PRS Case Manager - Houston

Lauren has worked serving the unaccompanied minor community since 2018, when she began her career as a case manager in an ORR shelter. She continued serving this community when she joined the Bethany PRS team as a PRS case manager in 2020. She finds joy in her service to communities in need and hopes to grow and learn how she can best assist those that need it most. She lives in Houston with her two pets and enjoys spending time with friends and family. Lauren earned her Bachelor of Science degree in sociology from Texas A&M University and is currently pursuing an MBA from Western Governor’s University.
