Jamie Minick
Executive Branch Director, MA, LPC - Lancaster, York, State College, Mohnton, Harrisburg
Jamie serves as the Exeecutive Branch Director for Central Pennsylvania. She holds degrees in Psychology and Counseling and is a licensed professional counselor. She has been serving in child welfare for over 20 years. Jamie also cares for clients in Bethany’s Counseling Services Program. She values Bethany’s ability to bring faith into the services being provided and ensuring that all those she encounters recognize their value.
Jennifer Cummings
Satellite Branch Director and Director of Foster Care/Foster Care Adoption Services - State College
Jennie is a licensed professional counselor in Pennsylvania, with a master’s degree in counseling and bachelor’s in human development and family studies from Penn State. She has over 15 years’ experience in human services including family licensing, child placement, case management, counseling, and residential services. Jennie is also on the board of directors of the Pennsylvania Council for Children, Youth, and Family Services.
Robin Regan
Adoption Specialist LSW, MSSW - State College
Robin serves as a counselor, foster parent trainer, and domestic adoption caseworker for Bethany Christian Services. She has a Bachelors degree and a Masters degrees in Social Work and has over 14 years of experience in foster care and adoption. Robin considers it a great privilege to come alongside adoptive and foster families and offer hope, understanding, and practical help.
Tina Wheeler
Office Manager - State College
Tina Wheeler has worked for over 15 years in foster care and foster care adoption. Over the years, she has had the opportunity to work one-on-one with clients, as well as behind the scenes. The one thing that has stayed the same is Tina’s compassion and willingness to do whatever it takes to ensure children and families receive the support they need.
Allissa Deters, BA, CTRP-C
Foster Care Family Resource Specialist - State College
Allissa’s previous experience working in reunification gives her a unique perspective in her role of equipping and supporting families in their foster care and foster care adoption journey. She has a bachelor's degree in sociology and theology and youth ministry from Thiel College in Greenville, PA.
Angie Kirsch
SWAN Permanency Specialist - State College
Angie serves as a SWAN permanency specialist. She chose a career working with children in hopes of positively impacting the future. She enjoys teaching children life skills and knowledge to help them succeed and loves seeing them smile. Angie has a bachelor’s in rehabilitative science and a teaching certification in special education. When she isn’t working, she enjoys watching her four children play basketball.
Austin Lookingbill
Foster Care Case Manager - State College
Austin is dedicated to advocating for the well-being and stability of children in need. He works closely with families and social services to ensure each child’s unique needs are met. Austin is committed to creating positive outcomes for the most vulnerable members of the Central PA Community.
Sheri Shoemaker, MA
Post-Permanency Specialist - State College
Sheri brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to post-permanency services. As the mother of an adopted daughter, Sheri understands the adoption process and enjoys working with families. She has three adult children, recently became an empty nester, and enjoys breeding pugs.
