Branch Director

Jan Lessard Peightell has worked for Bethany for over 30 years. She earned her master’s degree in social work from Syracuse University. It has been her privilege to provide counseling support women experiencing unplanned pregnancies. Jan believes she has been blessed by the strength and determination of these women and their partners as they seek to do what is best for their child.

Cindy Thomas

Safe Families for Children Coordinator and Community Liaison

Cindy Thomas has a heart for orphans, children in foster care, and the homeless. Recently, she helped to launch Safe Families for Children™ in New Hampshire. She earned her master’s degree in management and accounting, with more than 35 years as a human resource manager. After experiencing infertility for many years, she and her husband were blessed to adopt two beautiful children. Cindy’s family is blessed to have an open relationship with both of their children’s birthfamilies.

Jennifer L. Lamontagne

Jennifer L. Lamontagne

North Country Community Liaison

Jen Lamontagne joins Bethany Christian Services as the North Country Community Liaison. Jen is a Trust Based Relational Intervention® Practitioner (TBRI®). She brings with her an extensive background in foster care education, support, and community engagement through many different organizations statewide. This includes recruiting foster families, community and church outreach, and overall support to children and families. She organizes and runs the North Country Foster, Adoptive and Relative Caregiver Support Group, and further assists children and families through a clothing, gear, and goods storage unit and toiletry cupboard located in the northern region. Jen and her husband are currently licensed Foster Parents who serve as a general, emergency, crisis, and specialized home. Jen and her husband were honored as 2018 Angels in Adoption, and most recently nominated as community partners for the Excellence in Reunification award at New Hampshire’s first ever Reunification Celebration. They have also adopted a sibling set through foster care and maintain a healthy, open relationship with their children’s birth parents. Jen’s heart is for equipping current and future foster parents, restoring relationships, and bringing healing and restoration to families of all kinds.

Jolene K. Felix

Jolene K. Felix

Wendy's Wonderful Kids Recruiter

Jolene Felix joins Bethany Christian Services as the Wendy’s Wonderful Kids Recruiter. She has over fifteen years of experience in education and eight years of nonprofit experience working with five different Big Brothers Big Sisters agencies across America. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology, and two master’s degrees in education and special education.

Adoption Specialist

Meg Downey joins Bethany Christian Services, working in pregnancy counseling and adoption services. She has six years of experience assisting pregnant and parenting women and children. She earned her master’s degree in social work from the University of New Hampshire.
