Adoptive Parent Services

Relationship Enhancement for Adoptive Parents - REAP
REAP is a unique approach to strengthening marriages, designed to consider the impact adoption has on a marriage. Furthering talents in the areas of communication, effective methods of compromise and how to remain a loving parenting couple in the face of both the trials and celebrations of adoption life are only a few of REAP’s goals.

REAP at a Glance:

  • Enrichment opportunities for couples of adoptive children to strengthen their marriage and family
  • Offering weekend marriage retreats at no cost to adoptive parents
  • Individualized post-seminar supports and resources to insure continued success
  • Building partnerships with Georgia’s adoption placement agencies for early preparation and education
  • Utilizing project partners to increase resources and accessibility for adoptive communities

REAP’s professional staff are family focused, approaching each couple as the expert on their own talents; desiring to partner and nourish the strengths of the marriage.

Creatively tailored to the participants, REAP‘s group centered, skill-based presentations are invaluable to increasing communication skills. In addition, each couple has the opportunity to enjoy the company of other adoptive parents in a relaxing atmosphere.

As part of the nation’s Healthy Marriage Initiative REAP welcomes all married couples who have or are currently adopting within the United States.
