Intercountry Adoptive Placements
Bethany of Indiana has been providing intercountry adoption services since 1983. Currently, Bethany's Intercountry program places children (healthy and special needs) from a dozen countries in Asia, Latin America, and Eastern Europe. Hundreds of families have found their lives immeasurably enriched by the opportunity to welcome an internationally born child into their lives.

It is important to remember that changes occur frequently in intercountry adoption. Depending upon the number of families applying, the number of children available, and developments in each country, it is sometimes necessary for Bethany to close intake temporarily for certain programs. Please be aware that the status for each program can change at any time. Occasionally, intake will happen to close after approval of the preliminary application but before submission of the formal application. In those cases, we regret that a family may not be able to proceed until the program reopens. The likelihood of being able to proceed with a specific program is strongest after a family's formal application has been approved.
For further information about a specific country program and intake, please contact the Indianapolis office at 317.578.5000, or contact us.
Monthly General Information Meetings are held to provide an introduction to Bethany's intercountry adoption programs and process. For specific dates, visit the Indiana Meetings page.
