Adoption Support Group
Are you an adoptive parent who wants to better understand your child’s adoption experience? Is your child having questions or feelings about their adoption, and needs help sorting them out? If so please come and join us!
WHO: Children ages 8-12 and their families who have been joined together through adoption.
WHAT: For kids: A support group to explore the questions of adoption and how to deal with issues of grief and loss, anger, and how to communicate their needs to parents.
For Parents: A support group to connect with other parents to gain understanding of your child’s experience and how to help them with difficult questions. We will cover concepts from Sherrie Eldridge’s book, Twenty Things Your Adopted Child Wants You to Know.

COST: $10 per session per individual (4 sessions total)
*Dr. Meredith is a local expert on medical issues in international adoption. He has adopted internationally and sees many internationally adopted children in his pediatric practice. He will share his insight with you on what to look for when you receive your referral, and medical trends in various countries. He will also answer your questions. Please plan to attend this informative meeting.
