Thank you for allowing us to introduce ourselves, and we hope that someday we will get to know all about you as well. When we adopted our first child, we witnessed the special love birthparents have for their children, and we are very sensitive to the stressful emotions that birthparents go through while making this incredibly difficult decision. We know you want great things for your child, and we know your heart is in the right place. We want to abide by the wishes, hopes and dreams you have for your child and to make sure your child knows that you chose adoption because of the tremendous amount of love your have for them in your heart.

Our adoption experience began after three failed infertility treatments, but we did not let this hold us back from realizing our dream of having children in our family. Turning to adoption was a natural process for us, one that we felt God lead us to, not as an alternative, but as a beautiful way to build our family. We thank God everyday that he led us to our amazing daughter through adoption, and we know our next child will be another one of God's miracles to our family.

We take our jobs as parents very seriously, and we want to provide an environment for our children full of fun and playtime as well as creative learning experiences. We want our children to learn the value of family and what it means to stick by one another. We also want our children to have as many friendships and educational opportunities as possible, so that they can succeed in the world as productive adults.

We are very diverse in our personalities, Al with his musical talents, and Melisa with her love of animals, but we love each other tremendously, and are committed to continuing to grow our family through the blessing of adoption.

It is important to us that our children know their adoption story, and the birthparents that so lovingly placed them into our family. We currently have a semi-open relationship with our daughter’s birth grandmother, which has been an unbelievable blessing to our family. We realize that not everyone chooses this path of continued communication, and we will respect any decision that our next child’s birth family desires. We will pray for you to find peace in your heart about your courageous decision, and hope that you will consider our family to help you complete your adoption plan.
