Hope to Children Around the World

The Guardian of Hope Society is a giving program that allows you to extend hope to thousands of hurting children by including Bethany’s worldwide ministry in your estate plan. When you make a gift to Bethany through your Will or estate plan, you are assuring that Bethany’s ministry will continue to unite children with loving families far into the future.

Today’s tax laws allow many options for individuals to provide for their favorite causes as they plan the distribution of their resources. As Christians, we have the opportunity to direct our estate dollars to ministries we have supported during life and want to continue to support.

What opportunities for ministry does Bethany have in the world today?
Some children are orphans whose parents have died due to disease, war, or domestic violence. Other children are born into circumstances that lead to the children’s removal from their family’s care. Experts estimate that there are more than 143 million children currently in the world who have been orphaned in this way.

How does the Guardian of Hope Society assist Bethany in achieving this ministry?
Your gift through a Will or estate plan qualifies you as a Guardian of Hope member. All funds received through these means (unless otherwise designated) are invested in The Bethany Children’s Fund, our endowment. The income from the fund goes directly to assist families who are willing to adopt children with:

  • Fetal alcohol syndrome or children exposed to drugs.
  • Multiple physical or developmental challenges.
  • No home other than an orphanage.
  • A history of abuse and neglect.

How do I become a member of the Guardian of Hope Society?
Membership is open to anyone who includes Bethany Christian Services as part of his or her Will or estate plan. Simply print and complete the enrollment form to let us know that you have remembered Bethany in your estate plan.
